    Egan Company is looking for a Construction Technology Intern at our corporate headquarters located in Brooklyn Park, MN. This role will be within our Electrical Field Services group. This position has a flexible start and end date for a 12-week internship.

     

    The Construction Technology Intern is responsible for assisting with the support of multiple systems and project support in the Electrical Field Services Group.

    Responsibilities

    Develop and assist with  a variety of tasks and support to include:

    • Trimble Point Creation
    • Trimble Point Layout
    • Trimble Equipment Maintenance
    • GPS data collection (outdoor electrical)
    • Autocad design and/or BIM
    • Autocad support
    • PlanGrid
    • Infrared scanning
    • Power quality monitoring
    • Jobsite Technology Support/Training

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of one year construction experience or education such as field installation and/or aspects of design.
    • Ability to read and interpret plans and specs
    • Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google GSuite, Word, and Excel
    • Strong organizational skills to deal with competing customer needs.
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills- written and verbal
    • Ability to be flexible due to changing priorities
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide sufficiently to perform standard mathematical calculations.
    • Ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and reacts to these appropriately.
    • Attention to detail and ability to question if something does not look correct.
    • Self-starter with strong initiative and follow-through.

     

     

    Working Conditions

     

    Performance of duties will be blended between the office and job sites. Work will take place in the office approximately 50% of the time and 50% of time will be spent on job sites.
