    Egan Company is seeking candidates for an Assistant Project Manager (Mechanical focus) position at our corporate headquarters located in Brooklyn Park, MN. The Assistant Project Manager (APM) collaborates with Senior Project Managers in our Construction Group to manage projects from the design phase all the way through completion, and collaborating with our service department. Egan's newly consolidated Construction team now functions as one collaborative unit to offer Mechanical and Electrical project delivery to customers, which is a very exciting development for our company!


    The Assistant Project Manager (APM) is responsible for managing various trades and projects within given budgetary and time constraints. This role will assist senior staff in observing, learning and accomplishing the following specific tasks:

    • Managing projects from start to finish
    • Setting up project to meet or exceed budgetary and timing goals.
    • Ordering equipment and materials.
    • Attending job site meetings.
    • Managing people in various trades on the job sites.
    • Preparing billings in Great Plains.
    • Estimating jobs
    • Closing out job with maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
    • Developing and fostering long-term relationships with customers through quality performance of work.


    • An Associate degree with equivalent amount of experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Construction with 2-5 years of experience.
    • Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as MS Office Suite/Google suite.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of internal and external customers.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize high-impact items.
