    Egan Company is seeking candidates for a Project Manager (Outside Electrical Group) position to work in our Corporate Office in Brooklyn Park, MN. A Project Manager in this group is responsible for managing various subcontractors and projects within given budgetary and time constraints.


    The Project Manager (Outside Electrical Group) is responsible for accomplishing the following tasks:

    • Manage projects from start to finish
    • Setup project to meet or exceed budgetary and timing goals.
    • Order equipment and materials.
    • Attend job site meetings.
    • Manage people in various trades on the job sites.
    • Prepare billings in Great Plains.
    • Complete estimating.
    • Close out job with maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
    • Develop and foster long-term relationships with customers through quality performance of work.


    • Minimum High school diploma or a GED required.
    • Must have 5–10 years of industry experience. Previous experience as an outside electrical worker or related roadway experience- including working with installation such as signals, highway, lighting, and fiber.
    • Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of internal and external customers.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage between 5-30 projects at a time.
    • Experience with scheduling jobs in Great Plains software preferred but not required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 3 to 5 years of project management experience on Electrical Outdoor projects.
    • 2 year Trade school degree in Electrical construction or related discipline.
    • Previous experience in civil engineering and/or outside electrical.
    • Familiarity with Electrical related materials and heavy Equipment (trenchers, skid steers, backhoes, boom trucks, etc.)
