    Egan Company is seeking candidates for an Assistant Project Manager position for its Outside Electrical Group. This position will be based out of our Corporate Office in Brooklyn Park, MN. An Assistant Project Manager in this group is responsible for providing assistance in managing various subcontractors and projects within the given budgetary and time constraints.

    Responsibilities

    The Assistant Project Manager will assist experienced project managers in accomplishing the following tasks:

    • Managing projects from inception to completion.
    • Set-up of project to meet or exceed budgetary and timing goals.
    • Orders equipment and materials.
    • Attends job site meetings.
    • Manages people in various trades on the job sites.
    • Prepares billings in Great Plains (billing software).
    • Completes estimating.
    • Closes out job with maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
    • Develops and fosters long-term relationships with customers through quality performance of work.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or a GED is required.
    • 1-3 years of previous experience as an outside electrical worker or related roadway experience- including working with installation such as signals, highway, lighting and fiber.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage between 5-30 projects at a time, including scheduling and time management.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Willingness to learn new ideas and concepts.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of customers – internal and external.
    • Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as MS Office suite including MS Project.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Two year Trade school degree in Electrical Construction or related discipline, complete or in progress (must be related to electrical discipline).
    • Relative familiarity with Electrical related materials and heavy Equipment, (trenchers, skid steers, backhoes, boom trucks, etc.)
    • Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager at an electrical contractor.
    • Great Plains/Scheduling experience preferred, not required.
