  • Overview

    Egan Company is seeking candidates for a Project Manager position within the Technology Group at our Champlin, MN office. The Project Manager is responsible for managing various trades and projects within given budgetary and time constraints.


    The basic responsibilities of the Project Manager- Technology include, but are not limited to the following:


    • Ensure that Egan’s safety policies and goals are communicated and followed on assigned projects.
    • Manage projects from start to finish in order to meet contract requirements and internal goals.
    • Set up budgets and schedules and pro-actively manage assigned projects to meet or exceed those goals.
    • Direct and coordinate field labor supervision of various trades and subcontracted work
    • Purchase and schedule delivery of equipment and materials, including analysis of alternatives when appropriate.
    • Participate in job site and internal meetings to coordinate our requirements with Owner and/or General Contractor goals, communicate safety, quality and productivity requirements, and make decisions regarding allocation of Egan resources on assigned projects.
    • Prepare billings, job cost forecasts, change orders, submittals, RFIs and other project documentation in Great Plains, Excel, Word, and other software.
    • Close out job with maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
    • Develop and foster long-term relationships with our customers through quality performance of work.
    • The Project Manager will from time to time direct the activities of Assistant Project Managers, Administrative Staff, and other project support staff.


    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a project manager in the technology industry, dealing with aspects of Security and Access Control, Video Security, Fire Alarm, Life Safety Systems, Voice and Data, and DAS Systems.
    • Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Willingness to learn new ideas and concepts and work pro-actively with project stakeholders to solve problems and achieve project goals.
    • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of internal and external customers.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage between multiple projects at a time.
    • Ability to properly delegate and follow up to ensure completion of assigned tasks by staff.
    • Willingness to work with corporate management and other departments on initiatives to improve Egan processes.
